Ms. Mary R. Ilg, CPA, CMI has over 25 years of diverse experience in the medical, financial services, manufacturing, hospitality and retail industries. Prior to forming The Tax Specialty Group, she was a Senior Tax Advisor with Marvin F. Poer & Company and was also a Corporate Tax Auditor with the State of New Jersey Division of Taxation.

Ms. Ilg is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BS in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, and a Certified Sales Tax Member (CMI) of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation where she serves on the professional designation committee and is an instructor at the Sales and Use Tax School, Course I.
